TAKE A WALK ON THE CHILD SIDE
The Ancient City Poets will hold a poetry reading that celebrates poems written for children and by children on Sunday July 29 from 3 to 5 pm at the Gallery Cafe of St. Augustine (located at 1974 US1 South in the Staples Plaza, Saint Augustine, Florida). All are invited to "Talk on the Child Side" by sharing poems that were influential to them in their childhood. A special part of the reading will include an opportunity for young poets to read poems that they have written. A step stool will be available for all of the young guests who need help reaching the microphone. Cookies and milk and refreshments will be provided and books written by local poets will be available for purchase. This reading is part of a free series that the group has been holding on the last Sunday of every month since August of 2009. Poems do not have to relate to the theme.
